408 R.I.P.

Unfortunately, the 408 died on the way back from the 2003 Monte Nationals. The only lucky part was that after the 8 hour drive back from Cleveland, it died when I was about 10 miles away from my house. I was just doing a steady 70 on the freeway when it went. No warning signs at all beforehand. The #1 connecting rod made a valiant effort to leave the oil pan, but didn't quite make it out:
